Just Fun Stamping

Circle Circus to Color My World, RRCB 57

It’s time for a new Retro Rubber challenge?  And this one is a vibrant color challenge!  Who wouldn’t be ready to add some color to their world?  So please come on by our blog to see all of the inspiration projects by the Design Team, dust of your colorful ink pads and join us in the gallery!  Please remember that we are a “retro rubber” challenge.  We ask that you do use at least one stamp image that is one year or older (additional elements may be as old or as recent as you wish!).  And, we ask that you let us know how old the stamp is or at least how long that you have had it.  Keep your additional challenges to no more than 9 and you are eligible to be included in our top picks at the end of the challenge.  My card showcases several images from Circle Circus…http://www.retrorubberchallengeblog.com/

Circle Circus, Lovely Amazing You, Retro Rubber Challenge, Stampin' Up!

Circle Circus stamp set was introduced in Stampin’ Up!’s 2009 annual catalog.  It contains ten images of various circles.  I purchased this set strictly as a “stash” addition.  It really did not grab my attention but knew it would come in handy.  This color challenge was the perfect opportunity to ink it up!

The sentiment came from Stampin’ Up!’s extra release stamp set from February 2015.  I love the font for this set as well as its versatile sentiments.  Although I added quite a few other details, this card will be easy to mail… my newest resolution of sharing the cards that I make.

Guidelines for a Retro Rubber Challenge Blog challenge entry…
  • One of your stamps must be at least one year old.
  • You must tell us how long you have had the stamp or its age.
  • Do not link your new project to more than 9 additional challenges.

Remember, the primary purpose for this blog challenge is to use and breathe life into our older stash of stamp sets. Many of these are retired and unavailable for purchase except through individuals who wish to sell their retired stamp sets. These stamps were purchased originally because there was something in the set that spoke to our heart. You can give them a chance to speak once again.  And speaking of retired older sets, please take a look at my retired sets for sale.  You just might find something that speaks to you.

RRCB # 57 color inspiration challenge starts today and ends on March 10th.  Have you been by the challenge blog to see my teammates inspiration projects?  Come on by!  We are so looking forward to seeing you in our gallery.

If you have any questions about my project, please let me know by comment or email.

Have fun stamping,

Katy

Well, we might have used the same DSP but it only shows how versatile patterned paper can be to a finished card. Your use of the colorful circles which was then textured with more has such a happy result. That is surely why you picked your sentiment and why the person who receives this card will be happy as well! Love it!!

I’ve never seen that circle set before. I can see why you’d stash it! I like the whimsical little twist of twine you’ve added in, along with the lace and ribbon.
