Going Places suite of stamp images, designer series paper and texture are featured on pages 38 and 39 of the Occasions catalog by Stampin’ Up! This suite provides an excellent source of products to make stunning masculine themed projects. It includes Going Global stamp set, Going Places designer series paper pack, Going Places cardstock pack and the World Traveler textured impressions embossing folder. I previously showed two cards using these products in my November 21st post (you can see them here).
I also want to share some of the lovely samples that I CASE’d (Copy And Share Everything) directly from the Occasions catalog. CASE’ing samples is a wonderful way of working with new products to get a feel for what might appeal to you in style and design. This is especially helpful if you are fairly new to papercrafting. When I first started card making in 2005, I was not particularly impressed with many of the catalog samples provided during that time period. With the introduction of the Big Shot, coordinating tools and additional versatile embellishments, the catalog samples provided now are so good! And the inspiration provided by so many talented people shared in their blogs and public galleries (such as Pinterest and Splitcoaststampers) is phenomenal. Of course, should you CASE another designer’s projects, be sure to credit that designer.
Additional CASE’d samples as well as how I decorated the inside of each card.
If you should have any questions about the CASE’d samples, please do not hesitate to ask!
On February 10th, my sister Debbie and I will be participating in the Pals blog hop that specifically targets the concept of CASE’ing the current catalogs. This is a great month to do this since we have three catalogs from which to CASE. Debbie and I are going to piggy back our projects. I found a Home Décor project in the annual catalog that I have been wanting to tackle. Since I love it as it is shown, I have CASE’d it exactly and cannot wait to share it with you. Debbie will take the same concept and switch it up using products primarily from the Occasions catalog. I am really looking forward to seeing what divine projects she shares. So please be sure to come back then to see what we have in store for you.
Don’t forget about the earlier announcement on the January 10th post. To help celebrate the Sale-A-Bration period, I am giving a set of 6″x6″ Wildflower Fields designer series paper plus the What I Love photopolymer stamp set at the beginning of February. What do you need to do? Just make a comment on any (or all) January posts. I will choose a random winner on February 1st. You must be able to provide a US mailing address to receive my gift.
Have fun stamping,
