Just Fun Stamping

You Are Loved in Retro Rubber 55 Cross My Heart

It’s a Retro Rubber Tuesday which means a new challenge to play along.  And just in time for Valentine’s preparations! This themed challenge invites you to use hearts with your project… lots of lovely hearts.  Now, you know that our number 1 request (cross my heart) is to use at least one stamp that is a year or older. The remaining elements can be as old or as new as desired.  “You Are Loved” is a Stampin’ Up! stamp set issued during the 2011 Holiday catalog.  I am not sure when it retired, but probably within the following year.

Guidelines for a Retro Rubber Challenge Blog challenge entry…
  • The stamp must be at least one year old,
  • You must tell us how long you have had the stamp or its age.
  • Do not link your new project to more than 9 additional challenges.

Remember, the primary purpose for this blog challenge is to use and breathe life into our older stash of stamp sets. Many of these are retired and unavailable for purchase except through individuals who wish to sell their retired stamp sets. These stamps were purchased originally because there was something in the set that spoke to our heart. You can give them a chance to speak once again.  And speaking of retired older sets, please take a look at my retired sets for sale.  You just might find something that speaks to you.

RRCB # 55 color inspiration challenge starts today and ends on February 10th.  Have you been by the challenge blog to see my teammates inspiration projects?  Come on by.  We are so looking forward to seeing you in our gallery.

If you have any questions about my project, please let me know by comment or email.

Have fun stamping,

Katy

Beautiful Valentines card, Katy! I don’t remember this set and really find it interesting that it would have been in a holiday catalog as well! You really made it your own with some super fun new products. Love the heart enamels and what a great way to use them.

I think this is a rich and wonderful Valentine’s card, with such strong colours and repeated motifs. The red on white stamped heart is glorious and I love it! In New Zealand, Valentine’s Day isn’t really much of a thing although the shops market it a bit and a few people give a card or gift to their partner. But I still like looking at the cards and thinking of them as wedding, engagement or anniversary offerings instead.

Oh Katy, love all the wonderful details on this card, the colors are so rich and beautiful, the black card stock just makes the panels pop.
Awesome way to combine the very old with the very new, I just received the “Love Notes” framelits dies and I can’t wait to play with them.
Someone is going to be super happy to receive this beautiful card.
    Hugs,
    Maria.

Sheer elegance Katy! The details right down to the hearts on hearts is so creative! I must have missed that embossing folder because I think I need it. Sigh…I should be prepared when I look at your cards – you always use something that I think I need! I think your red is set off beautifully by the black – stroke of genius because if you would have used solid red, it would not have brought your eye to all the details! Does that even make sense? To me it does! LOL!

The red, white and black combo is so perfect! Love all the elements that you chose and your placement is just fabulous! This card is a stunner and belongs in a store or a frame! The recipient is so lucky!❤️❤️❤️
