Just Fun Stamping

Market Fresh for You

Market Fresh, Farmers Market DSPI ran across a Market Fresh card that I had made last September when doing a “card a day” challenge for a private Facebook stamper’s group.  During that period of time, I was knee deep in upcoming Holiday projects, thus the card was never posted.  Still feeling the love for this card, I decided to share it with you today.  It is one of three stamp images of the Market Fresh stamp set which is located in the Artistic Expression section of the annual catalog (page 116).  I paired it up with the Farmers Market designer series paper, page 143 of the annual catalog.  A match made in heaven, don’t you think?

The above picture was taken yesterday as an experiment to see if the Blackberry Bliss colors are more true to color when using this particular photography backdrop.  What I love about this backdrop is that it reduces glare.

The pictures in the gallery below were taken last September.  See any differences (other than I watermarked the September pictures)?

As much as I like using Blackberry Bliss in my cardmaking, I find that it is extremely difficult to photograph so that it shows purple instead of black.  I will continue to play with this favorite color of mine to see if the newer backdrop really does work well with it.

The card is pretty straight forward.  Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Have fun stamping,

Katy

I love your card, Katy – it’s perfection with the different mats and raveled twine! And, what a difference to the colors the faux-wood background makes. So far, the best photos I’ve taken of my cards are on the mantle of our rock fireplace, which has similar colors to your backdrop. 🙂

Beautifully colored, Katy! It truly has a 3D look to it. I want to pinch one of those grapes off and eat it! LOL This stamp set is very unique and definitely not typical for Stampin’ Up! You made it look stunning! Love all of the layers, too! Your backdrop definitely helps in the photography of Blackberry Bliss. Thanks for giving a comparison – it is very helpful for anyone who has issues with getting their colors to photograph well.
