After a very difficult judging for top picks last challenge (honestly, you were all amazing!), we are sending a sketch challenge to tickle your fancy the next 10 days. Sketch challenges are so much fun because you can pick the images and colors. Then use the sketch however you wish… as is, or flipped in any direction or loosely inspired! I found a bird image stamp set that had not seen ink for quite some time! It is called “Wings of Friendship” and was a Stampin’ Up! hostess set in the 2009 catalog.
The designer paper is from Moroccan designer series in this year’s Stampin’ Up! annual catalog. The bird images were stamped in VersaMark and embossed with white EP onto Whisper White cardstock. Dapper Denim and Emerald Envy inks were sponged (Emboss Resist). Then I built the various layers and added ribbon embellishments.

Guidelines for a Retro Rubber Challenge Blog challenge entry…
- One of your stamps must be at least one year old.
- You must tell us how long you have had the stamp or its age.
- Do not link your new project to more than 9 additional challenges.
Remember, the primary purpose for this blog challenge is to use and breathe life into our older stash of stamp sets. Many of these are retired and unavailable for purchase except through individuals who wish to sell their retired stamp sets. These stamps were purchased originally because there was something in the set that spoke to our heart. You can give them a chance to speak once again. And speaking of retired older sets, please take a look at my retired sets for sale. You just might find something that speaks to you.
