Autumn Days for RRCB #27 Color Challenge

RRCB 27We are back with another challenge for Retro Rubber Challenge Blog.  This one is a color challenge that will spark some Autumn Days inspiration for you.  It starts today and will end Nov 20th.  If you don’t have these specific Stampin’ Up! colors, substitute a similar color.

Autumn Days 2009My card features images from Stampin’ Up!’s 2009 – 2010 Idea Book & Catalog.  The stamp set is called “Autumn Days”.  I love all the images in this stamp set, even the two that I did not use which were a small maple leaf and small pine cone bough.  This set is retired but I feel certain that you could still find it for sale somewhere in cyber land.

Autumn DaysIf you look closely at the pheasant’s beak you will notice that I blurred it just a bit.  Does it bother me? Not in the least… he looks like he is calling for his mate. Fanciful, I know, but it’s part of his journey through the grasslands.  Autumn brings a special opportunity to be thankful for special people in your life. This card is for one of mine!

Have you checked out the inspiration by my teammates for this challenge period?  You can see them by clicking here. It is your turn to allow the colors to spark some creativity to share with us.  Just be sure to use a stamp that is older than one year.  Hope to see you in the gallery….

Have fun stamping,

Katy

Absolutely stunning, Katy! You are the best at layering and combining stamps to make a scene that looks like it was a photograph. The thought of doing that gives me shivers but your card today has me deciding to give it a try while remembering the first rule in papercrafting: “Paper has two sides!” LOL Maybe I will do it as well as you someday! Gorgeous use of the color challenge and a wonderful gift for someone you love! This time of year always make me grateful for family and especially my sister. Love you!!
