Just Fun Stamping

Blessed Easter Wishes for PPA 191

Using Blessed Easter for the Pals Paper Challenge 191 seemed a very natural choice that perhaps leans on the “predictable” side.  PPA191 is a color challenge this week… Pumpkin Pie, Gumball Green and Whisper White.

Blessed Easter, Negative Starburst, Katy McGloin

One of the reasons that I am able to work on this challenge is that Atlanta is once again dealing with another winter storm.  Mostly it has been sleet with a little freezing rain in my immediate area.  When I finished the card, the best lighting I had was outside.  So, as you can see, not only are we hoping for Spring, we are appreciating the latest Winter Wonderland from Mother Nature.

The Blessed Easter stamp was applied to Whisper White cardstock with Black StazOn ink.  A blender pen with Pumpkin Pie and Gumball Green inks provided the coloration for the tulips.  Using the negative space left from a Starburst die cutting, additional texture was added using the Fancy Fan TIEF.  The panel of green DSP from the Designer Series Paper Stacks and the panel of pumpkin pie cardstock cut with the Finishing Touches Edgelits were adhered to the negative Starburst piece and then propped up with stampin’ dimensionals for additional depth.  Add a pretty Pumpkin Pie ribbon bow and the card is finished!

I hope your weekend brings you fun and relaxation!  I don’t believe Atlanta will be moving for a couple of days.

Katy…this is just so gorgeous! Each element is perfect…the watercoloring, the negative circle, the right amount of DSP…another GREAT card from you!

This card is possibly the most favorite of all you have made, and that says a lot! It is simply elegant and beautiful. After this week’s snow, it gives me hope that Spring is just around the corner. Love it!

Beautiful Katy. Such a contrast to the snow you’re getting. Keep sending these beautiful messages of renewal and spring will get here. Thank you so much for playing with the Pals this week.

I absolutely love how you interpreted this color challenge, and this stamp definitely is perfect for it. I really love the use of the negative framelit to create the perfect frame for this flower vignette. Yes, dreaming of spring indeed!
