Blooming with Kindness for PPA Challenge 230

http://www.palspaperarts.com/It is time for another color challenge for the PPA for which I selected the stamp set Blooming with Kindness.  Why, you may ask?  The colors spoke of lovely Christmas themes which are abundant this time of year… so I decided upon a floral theme.  I adore these colors together…they are so very elegant!

My stamp set choices were based upon providing an upbeat sentiment for a very good friend of mine.  It is not necessary to go into details, but I wanted to let her know that I have been thinking of her.  This time last year I was recuperating from MOHS surgery on my nose.  They had graciously invited me and my husband to share Thanksgiving with them realizing that I was not up to helping much with the dinner. Good friends… the best!

Blooming with KindnessI brought one additional neutral color into my card… Early Espresso.  In the end the card was larger than our standard A2 envelopes, so I used the Envelope punch board to create my own envelope.  This card cannot be mailed anyway, so using designer paper was perfection.  The flower image was stamped three times after masking the primary image. Then it was dry embossed with Argyle TIEF, cut into fourths and paneled.  Did you notice the sentiment?  I adore the font used with this verse.  The A Dozen Words stamp set is so versatile!  Very Vanilla satin ribbon adds a special sheen to the card; pearls were an added bonus.

More pictures…

The sentiment for the inside came from Feel Goods stamp set.  I will hand write “they are friends” to finish my thought!!

Have fun stamping!

Blooming with Kindness is a stamp set I think is very pretty, but one I have used only occasionally. I am very happy to have inspiration to use for making another card. This card is really beautiful. I also haven’t used the argyle TIEF very often, except to make some masculine cards. What a lovely use of the stamps and TIEF together. Fabulous job.

    Katy,
Oh, how beautiful! I absolutely love how you used the color sketch to make a non-holiday card that is just stunning! I know your friend will love it! It’s hard to believe that your surgery was a year ago. Time sure flies…

This is stunning, Katy! It has everything that makes a card wonderful… beautiful use of a stamp set and colors, perfect embellishments, a great sentiment and a really lovely bow.
