I am so excited to be playing alongside the talented design team members for The Sisterhood of Crafters. This last challenge of 2018 is to create a winter scene. And with the weather many of us are having this time of year, we have lots of inspiration! Using Cambridge Carols, a stamp set by Stampin’ Up!, I have a two part post for you today. This first post is for the Sisterhood and depicts a colorful rendition of the skaters in their secluded romantic setting.
- The image was stamped on watercolor paper using Versafine Onyx Black ink and then clear embossed. Using an aqua painter and various colors of ink, the scene was water-colored. Colored pencils brought out as much detail as I could get into such tiny areas.
- My “mad” assortment of cutting dies came into use with additional die-cut details. These tools include Windows Frame Collection, In the Woods, Blizzard, Farmhouse, and Detailed Poinsettia edgelits and framelits.
- The paper assortment is Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Night of Navy, Basic Gray and Old Olive cardstocks. The designer papers are Festive Farmhouse from this year’s holiday catalog, Shine On Specialty from the 2016 holiday catalog and Sparkle Glimmer from the annual catalog.
I hope you will play along with us! Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to leave me a question in the comment area.
Remember when I said this was a two part post? I had signed up for the Pals Blog Hop a month ago and had envisioned a “black ice technique” using Cambridge Carols. So won’t you take a look at a less colorful but ever so sparkly card that was also posted today. Just click here.
Have fun stamping,
