Christmas Lodge Guest Stamper

RRBC03I am so pleased to introduce my guest stamper who has designed a card for the RRBC #3 using the stamp set Christmas Lodge.  My guest stamper is Denise Basile, a member of my downline, but, more importantly, my youngest sister who has discovered the joys of paper crafting.  Her card submitted to Retro Rubber Blog Challenge follows a sketch using an older Christmas stamp set.

Denise’s card…

Christmas Lodge, RRBC

This card is intriguing on so many levels.  The detail that I like the best is how the trees continue in several layers.  The tree on the right is more obvious, but the trees behind the lodge continue upward into the DSP.  Speaking of DSP, it has been embossed so that the dots are both negative and positive.  The large tree on the right is adorned with rhinestones, but the snowflakes have pearls. A vellum panel behind the lodge provides just enough differentiation between the layers but still allows continuity.  Denise provided the following product information…

Stamp sets:  Christmas Lodge, Come to Bethlehem

Paper:  Mossy Meadow, Very Vanilla, Vellum, Trim the Tree DSP

Inks:  Soft Suede, Baked Brown Sugar, Mossy Meadow, Pear Pizzazz, Cherry Cobble, Whisper White

Tools:  Oval Framelits, Corner Rounder Punch, Distressing Tool, Polka Dot embossing folder, pearls, rhinestones, vintage ribbon

Since Denise does not have a blog, please leave any comments or questions here so that she may respond.

Hope you enjoyed her project.  In the meanwhile,

Have fun stamping,

Denise, this card is gorgeous and I see the apple or insert some sort of crafty tool, doesn’t fall far from the tree!! Speaking of trees, I love the effect you got with them! Beautiful all the way around!! Thanks for joining us at Retro Rubber!!

Jane, thank you so much for your kind comments. I’m finding this craft as a great way to relieve stress from work. I just can’t believe I resisted so long. I hope you have a very merry Christmas. Again, thank you.

Could you hear me gasp “wow!” from here when this page opened up and I saw the card? This is a stunner, Denise! Really love all the details, but the pearl centers on the snowflakes just did me in! Excellent card!

Neva, thank you! The card stock is so versatile and begged for “bling”. I had a blast helping it come “alive”. Again, thank you and Happy Holidays!

Denise, the trees stood out to me immediately. I thought it was really cool how the tree on the main panel seemed to fit perfectly into the stamped off tree on the DSP right next to it. You and your sisters will have so much fun sharing projects if you don’t already. I too find stamping to be quite the stress reliever 🙂
