This is our last challenge of the year at The Sisterhood of Crafters. So, please come join us with a Christmas themed project! Sistah Darlene is our host for the challenge. And, the theme could not be more perfect for this time of year! Anything Christmas… woohoo! For my card, I pulled out a favorite red rubber stamp introduced in the 2015 Stampin’ Up! holiday catalog. It’s called Dove of Peace.
Although Dove of Peace came as one rubber piece, I cut it apart to stamp separately. The image was heat embossed with Copper emboss powder. Selective areas were colored with Stampin’ Blends (Pretty Peacock, Soft Suede and Cherry Cobbler).
The Joyous Noel specialty designer paper is a favorite of mine from Stampin’ Up’s 2018 holiday catalog. Fortunately, I had purchased the paper before it back-ordered and became unavailable. Since my nature is to hoard pretty designer series paper, I use this one very sparingly!! Its elegance complements my Dove of Peace.
Please tell me what you think of the ribbon behind the die-cut copper panels. I don’t remember doing this before, and I really like the inlay effect. The copper die-cut and the bird panel die-cut were made using non-Stampin’ Up! products… just thought I should confess!
The sentiments inside the card are from Dashing Deer stamp set which is still available in this year’s Stampin’ Up! annual catalog. That is another stamp set to remain in my forever stash of products!
I hope you are having a blessed holiday season. Looking forward to a new crafting year…
