Fabulous Flora Scribbles for PPA Challenge 303

PPA-303-June02This week’s new color challenge at Pals Paper Arts Challenge #303 features an inspiration combination by our own resident artist Shawn de Oliveira.  And what a great combo it is!  Please come by our challenge blog and take a look at all the wonderful inspiration provided by the PPA color team!  Since I had not yet inked up the preorder stamp set Fabulous Flora, the tone on tone stamping with Sahara Sand cardstock and ink was a great way to provide a botanical background.  Then the details came together…

Fabulous Flora, Floral, Botanical Builder Framelits, Swirly Scribbles Thinlits, Stampin' Up!The Botanical Builder framelits and Swirly Scribbles thinlits dies provided the “floral” die cuts for this card with the Fabulous Flora panel as the background. The sentiment was die cut using the Banners framelits.  I will admit that I cut several of these dies images in both Mint Macaron and Night of Navy to see which combination I liked the best.  Now I have extra pieces for a future project!!  My finished card is 6″ x 6″.  Adding the additional panels helped with obtaining a finished card of that size.  And, of course, it needed a custom made envelope.

Additional pictures:

What do you think of the washi tape used for the inside panel.  Such an easy way to add a little color!

Have you been by the Pals Paper Arts Challenge blog to see all the wonderful projects provided by my teammates to help inspire you to join us this week?  We are so hoping that you will join us this week.  See you in the gallery…

Have fun stamping,

Katy, your cards never disappoint! I really do love the color inspiration so may just have to give this challenge a go. Love your sweet details with the background stamping and the new thinlits were a wonderful addition for more layers (are there ever enough? lol). Yes, add those sentiment scraps to some new cards, please! I can’t wait to see what you do with them!!

Oh Katy! I love this card! The side panels really finish and frame the beauty of this card- and I love the tone on tone of stamped Sahara Sand. Great combo of sets, framelits and color. Love that cross stitched die, BTW. TFS!

Katy, I can’t even tell you how much I love your card! And, I love your style! Love the way you used the Fabulous Flora. And, it’s always so fun to create a different sized card, 6 x 6 is so nice! The coordinating envelope finishes it off perfectly!
