Fall Fest by Guest Stamper Denise Basile

Fall Fest, Seasonally ScatteredI am delighted to show off a “Fall Fest”  easel card made this weekend by Denise Basile, a member of my downline, but, more importantly, my youngest sister.  She joined my team as a hobbyist demonstrator during the May pre-order for Blendabilities.  Although she has taken advantage of the “no obligation” perks of being a demonstrator in the past, this time was different.  She stayed!!!  Why, you may ask?  Because Stampin’ Up! provided a product that spoke to her creative side, that of vibrant coloration by alcohol pens.  Branching out to the lovely dye inks and multi-colored techniques was a new passion for her this weekend.  I love how her enthusiasm for this paper craft has grown by leaps and bounds over the past several months!

Additional pictures of her seasonal card…

We had a lot of fun yesterday with other stampers in my craft room!  My other stamping sister Debbie Mageed (she is the author of the “Secret Stamper” blog), Denise and I were joined by friends Pam Morris, Anne Burr and Jackie Knowle.  Pam demonstrated three fun projects…

Festival of Trees, Choose Happiness Festival of Trees, Choose Happiness

My photos did not pick up the snow hills very well with the Festival of Trees card, but I added a double hill to my card.  The Choose Happiness card could have been finished with additional panels of Basic Gray and Daffodil Delight, but I chose to leave mine tone on tone.  The wine bottle (or water/soda bottle) tag was stamped with Seasonally Scattered stamp set first with Tangelo Twist and then daubed with Crushed Curry.  Wooden Elements were added to the back of the tag as an added touch of bling.

It has been a fun and relaxing weekend full of stamping, socializing and good eats!  Hope you have had a great weekend also and that you have included fun stamping.   Until next time…
