Floral Essence stamp set released this year by Stampin’ Up! is another “must have” set for me! It contains both solid and open line images of flowers and leaves. Plus, there is a 3 petal image that coordinates with a punch called Perennial Flower! So if you’re interested, getting the bundle (stamp set and punch) will provide a 10% savings! If that isn’t enough enticement, there is a leaf image that coordinates with our Leaf punch! Each year I think I have enough floral stamp sets for my stash. But Stampin’ Up! continues to produce gorgeous images and sets along with so many coordinating tools! I really just cannot help myself!
I used the masking technique for my floral image so that a bouquet of flowers could be built. Additionally, it helped me place the leaves so they are peeking out from behind the flowers. Honestly, the stamping began as an experiment with positioning and colors. I “play” more than I develop final cards, but this one did get finished.
Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series paper was not on my acquisition radar initially! But, I saw enough use of the blue flower/burlap papers to intrigue me! There are several papers that make excellent backgrounds! And, there are several papers that could provide all the focus you might want for your card front. I have made several cards that will be shared with you this week and next!
- Stamp Set: Floral Essence
- Papers: Crumb Cake, Garden Green, Blueberry Bushel, Very Vanilla, and Whisper White cardstock; Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series paper
- Inks: Cajun Craze, Terracotta Tile, Grapefruit Grove, Mango Melody, Garden Green, and Blueberry Bushel: Blender Pen
- Tools & Accessories: 3D Embossing Folders include Subtle, Mosaic, and Magnolia (the picture might lead you to believe the image is debossed… it is actually raised!); Dies include Stitched Nested Labels and Stitched Rectangles; Leaf punch, retired mini chevron Crushed Curry ribbon (love how this looks against the printed burlap paper!), and Designer Elements antique embellishment
Just a quick post today to share some recent work. Tomorrow is a new challenge for The Sisterhood of Crafters. I will be showcasing several “Everything is Rosy” Product Medley cards made last month. I am trying to spread these out since so many were made, LOL!
Have fun stamping,
