Floral Retro Rubber Redo

RRBC12Sense of Time, RRBC12Retro Rubber Challenge “Hey Brad” is still available to play along until this coming Friday morning.  We hope you will join us with a stamp set that is older than one year and showcasing your favorite ways of using brads.  My design card shown last week on the challenge blog post used several brads… some functional and some as bling.  More information on this card can be viewed on last week’s blog post.  Design Team A has more inspiration ready to stir your creative mojo.  You can check it out here or by clicking the challenge picture.

Crazy About You, Flower ShopLast week I decided to pull out one of my most favorite floral cards from a year ago (card on the left) and give it a current redo.  Last year’s stamp set was Flower Shop (which did not retire, so you will see it in the upcoming new Stampin’ Up! catalog!).  The new card (on the right) features the stamp set Crazy About You and Petite Petals. My colors are Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Island Indigo, Very Vanilla and Crisp Cantaloupe (a retiring in-color this year).  The eyelet edgelit used in the card on the right also retired as of this morning.  I used one of the die-cut cards from the Artisan Embellishment Kit as a stencil and applied Soft Suede ink with a dauber.

A closer look at both cards…

It was fun doing a retro redo CASE’ing my card… my own version of a “blast from the past” so to speak.

Don’t miss out on the excitement of the Retiring List that Stampin’ Up! released just this morning. Many of the items have substantial discounts.  You can see the list here.

Please let me know if you have any questions.  In the meanwhile…

Have fun stamping,

What a cool idea to take a project that we loved from the past and CASE it! Since I was the very luck recipient of the first one, I have to say that I love it and look at it every single day. The CASE card is absolutely stunning though and shows that you can’t have enough of a good thing! The colors are stunning together and using the roses as a template is fantastic! Absolutely gorgeous! I love your idea of Tuesday Redo!

What fun, Katy! They are both beautiful and yet very different. Of course stamps are different – shows so many ways to use them and the different backgrounds and colors. A BEAUTY!
