For Peep’s Sake finds PPA 246

PPA246Although I am not generally in the market for adorable Easter chick stamp sets, For Peep’s Sake was too cute to ignore.  The color challenge for PPA 246 seemed the perfect opportunity to stamp the images for one more Easter card.

Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe are two of the 2013-2015 In-Colors that are scheduled for retirement prior to this year’s new Annual Catalog.  Loving these colors as I do, I will be maintaining an adequate supply of paper and accessories to continue enjoying them into the new Stampin’ Up! year.

For Peep's SakeMy card is based on Pistachio Pudding with Crumb Cake, Crisp Cantalouge, Very Vanilla and Whisper White accents. Although there are a few punches and a framelit, most of the paper layers were hand cut.  I added paper piercing for the Apothecary framelit and Decorative label layers.  Can’t see the paper piercing on the Decorative label layer?  That is because it gave me my placement for itty bitty Pearl jewels.

The upper most Pistachio Pudding paper layer was embossed with Spring Flowers texturizing folder.  The lace trim added just underneath this layer might be called Sahara Sand lace trim, but doesn’t it pick up the crumb cake colors nicely?  There is a piece of washi tape just to the left of the sentiment “for peep’s sake” that will hit the trash bin eventually… it keeps curling up!

The card inside incorporates one of the Delicate Designs texturizing folders and two more sentiments from the featured stamp set.  Here are a couple more pictures for  you…

What card or project do the colors Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding and Kraft (Crumb Cake) evoke for you? Won’t you come play along with the Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge 246?  To see more of the Design Team’s inspiration, click on the PPA challenge picture above or here.  We are waiting to see your lovely creations.

Please let me know if you have any questions.  In the meanwhile,

Have fun stamping,

Your “card” is a gift! It’s so beautiful. I love the look of the Sahara Sand lace with Pistachio Pudding. And, I agree: I normally wouldn’t have purchased such a cutesy, cartoon stamp set, but this was was too peepin’ cute not to!

This card is simply beautiful. There is such dimension and I really like the way you brought in all the colors from the challenge. I’ve seen several of the cards that were made for this challenge and each of you used a unique approach when using the challenge colors.
