Card Concept 47

It has been awhile since I played along with The Card Concept challenge.  When I received their email for the 47th challenge Floral Elegance, I was intrigued by the color combination that included gray with the other brown neutrals.  I already knew that I wanted to play with Maggie Mata’s sketch challenge at Pals Paper Arts 284.  Hence, a combination of the two challenges ensued.

Grateful BunchGrateful Bunch stamp set from Stampin’ Up!’s Occasions catalog for 2016 is the source for these stamped images.  My set had not been inked until this project.  By the way, this set can be seen on page 22 along with its corresponding punch called Blossom Bunch Punch.  Both items are available in a bundle that will save you 15% over buying each product individually.  Sweet, huh!  After using the punch, I assembled my flower, separating the layers with dimensionals.  I believe the card is fairly self explanatory.  Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  Grateful Bunch
  • Papers:  Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Early Espresso, Smoky Slate cardstocks; retired natural filter paper, retired Neutrals designer series paper
  • Inks:  Early Espresso, Basic Gray, discontinued Crumb Cake blendabilities, VersaMark
  • Tools:  Blossom Bunch punch, Paper Piercing Tool, Essentials paper piercing template, small oval punch, Elegant Dots textured impressions embossing folder, Circles Collection framelits
  • Accessories:  Neutrals Candy Dots, Metal Rimmed Pearls, Clear emboss powder

Which Card Concept category would this card fall into?  I consider myself a “Clean and Layered” designer with sometimes a touch of vintage.  Would love to know what their designers would call this!!

Don’t forget about the earlier announcement on the January 10th post.  To help celebrate the Sale-A-Bration period, I am giving a set of 6″x6″ Wildflower Fields designer series paper plus the What I Love photopolymer stamp set at the beginning of February.  What do you need to do?  Just make a comment on any (or all) January posts.  I will choose a random winner on February 1st.  You must be able to provide a US mailing address to receive my gift.

Have fun stamping,

Katy

Katy, your card today is absolutely beautiful! I love the Grateful Bunch stamp set, and the use of the Elegant Dots TIEF makes it extra special in my eyes…almost as though it’s ‘quilted’. Interesting sketch that Maggie came up with for this week.

I call it simply gorgeous, Katy! I love your layered flowers and the combo of challenges you chose, they worked perfectly together. Thanks for joining the sketch team this week at the PPA!

Katy, this card is beautiful! I love all of the details you so painstakingly made. These colors are wonderful together! I made a card with the larger flower so will have to get the smaller ones a try with the coordinating punch now. Off to pin…

I really like the way you used the lacey edge as a frame….perfect placement too! I never thought I’d see a pretty soft suede flower either…….until this! Such a nice card! TFS!
