With this being an ATG event, I decided to try a lovely metallic technique that I saw on Jennifer McGuire’s blog. She amazes me with her talent and endless creative ideas. It also allowed me to play with some non-Stampin’ Up! products that I had collected during the past year. (I am grateful for my sister’s influence in this particular area!) The Altenew’s “Be-Leaf Me” stamp set was purchased September 2016.
The primary requirement is that the stamp set have several images that layer with each other. The layers are separately embossed on top of one another. My layers included silver, gold and copper emboss powders. I continued the metallic look with a background layer of silver foil as well as the “grateful” sentiment die cut from copper foil. The two leaves were die cut from champagne foil using stitched leaf dies purchased from Hero Arts this year.
Guidelines for a Retro Rubber Challenge Blog challenge entry…
- One of your stamps must be at least one year old.
- You must tell us how long you have had the stamp or its age.
- Do not link your new project to more than 9 additional challenges.
Remember, the primary purpose for this blog challenge is to use and breathe life into our older stash of stamp sets. Many of these are retired and unavailable for purchase except through individuals who wish to sell their retired stamp sets. These stamps were purchased originally because there was something in the set that spoke to our heart. You can give them a chance to speak once again.
RRCB # 76 sketch challenge starts today and ends on December 1st. Have you been by the challenge blog to see my teammates inspiration projects? Come on by! We are so looking forward to seeing you in our gallery.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Have fun stamping,
