Handmade Framed Home Decor for the 2018 Nov Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the November, 2018 Blog Hop with Stampin’ Pretty Pals. Holiday cards are done. It’s time to start on gifts and gift wrap. Let the Stampin’ Pretty Pals inspire you with “Anything But A Card” today.

You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

My “not a card” Project

I absolutely loved the October Paper Pumpkin kit!  The laser-cut feathers and greenery were a perfect size for adding to handmade framed home decor gifts!  Both of these are gifts and with today’s post I have taken away any surprise.  I had hoped to give these to my sisters this past week.  But you know what they say about “best laid plans!”  It’s Denise’s birthday this coming Monday.  Instead of “Happy Birthday,” I decided on “You Are Wonderful” in hopes that the framed piece would remind her of my thoughts well after her birthday.  “Simply Thankful” is for Debbie and Aly to remind them that our family is thankful for their love and support.

Several stamp sets were used in the making of these handmade gifts.  They include Winter Woods, Rooted in Nature, Country Home and Timeless Textures.  These were stamped tone on tone with Crumb Cake.  The Paper Pumpkin kit revolved around the color combination of Night of Navy, Coastal Cabana, Grapefruit Grove, Cajun Craze and Fresh Fig.  I am so glad the designers added Coastal Cabana to the color mix! I certainly would not have thought of it!  One framed piece has random splashes of vegas gold shimmer paint, and the other has bright copper.

Handmade framed home decor gifts are such an easy way of expressing your creative style with your friends and family.  These are set in 6″ x 8″ frames.  However, I have put together various sizes of projects.

Lovely Katy! I am sure the gifts will still be loved, even if they have seen them, wonderful job. You gave me inspiration to use my own PP like this, thanks.

Oh, Katy! These are stunning (as always)! Surprises are so over-rated! And at my age, I will probably be surprised anyway 😉 . You are the Queen of 3D – so glad you “framed it.”
