Happy Anniversary Wishes

My husband and I are celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary today.  My card took a little longer than I expected, but I was very pleased with the final result…

There are a number of products used in the making of this card.

Paper:  Brushed Gold and Brushed Silver cardstock; Gold and Silver Foil Sheets; Silver and Champagne Glimmer Paper; Vellum

Ink:  Smoky Slate

Stamps:  En Francais Background stamp

Tools:  Framed Tulips TIEF, small and large Star punches (vintage), Small Heart and Full Heart punches, Top Note Bigz Die, Typeset Alphabet Bigz Die, Hearts Collection Framelits, Gold Sequin Trim, Rhinestone Jewels

There are two items worth mentioning.  The idea for the linked small hearts came from Dawn Tidd on a recent post.  I loved that idea and wanted to incorporate it in my anniversary card.  The second item is to mention that the foil sheets will pick up markings on your Big Shot plates.  I encourage use of newer plates rather than scarred plates to alleviate unwanted blemishes on the foil embellishments.

Katy, OMG–this card is absolutely gorgeous! You never cease to amaze me with your talent! I don’t know what I like the most about it…all the luscious layers…or the intertwined hearts….or maybe the row of sequins on the curve of that one heart?? The details are just breathtaking!
CONGRATULATIONS on your 14 years! I hope you celebrated in style!
