Happy Belated Birthday, Debbie!

My sister was very patient regarding her birthday present this year!  We already knew that it would be latter part of July when she would receive her box, but, due to family circumstances, it was mid-August before she actually received my gifts.

This was the card that I sent…

I used an easel card…okay, I must admit it is my most favorite card style for special cards!  I tagged this type of card fold in my unusual card fold.  I also tagged this as special technique since I used the window pane to create special interest to the main image.  Placing gold cardstock behind the window panes enhanced the gold embossing of the Swallowtail.  The color was added to the cardstock with sponging.  The embossed image resisted the ink and wiped off easily with tissue.

Do you see why I like easel cards?  I love the way it stands up on its own.

Again, I am trying to catch up on items that should have been posted long before now…  Should you have any questions regarding the specifics of this card, please let me know in the comment area or send me an email.

Have fun stamping,
