My husband is a private pilot… some of you already know that! He has been flying more often recently which I encourage. It’s part of his make-up. His birthday is in a couple of weeks so I had been considering which products to use for his card. So Happy Birthday, darling!
I have used many new and retired products in this card. The background has the Faux Patina technique which I have showcased several times in past blog posts. My sister Denise wanted to try this technique last weekend. When I pulled out the retired World Traveler embossing folder, I knew exactly which direction this project should go. All of the stamp images are retired. They were Sky is the Limit, Balloon Adventures, and Happy Birthday Everyone all Stampin’ Up! The vintage brads and “propeller” were part of my older stash. Papers include Sahara Sand, Tranquil Tide, and Night of Navy cardstock. The two panels are from the current Naturally Eclectic DSP featuring Tranquil Tide and Night of Navy colors. The copper foil paper, copper trim and copper emboss powder are also current. I used SU’s retired Pewter emboss powder to complete my Faux Patina technique.
Considering that my husband does not visit my blogging platform, I am showing this card a little early. I want to play along with the The Sisterhood of Crafters which has a “Boys to Men” masculine theme going this challenge being hosted by Agata this time around. I know that Bill will love the card, and I am glad to share it with you.
Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this card. I will admit that it is a very large card… 6″x 8″. I discovered that Bill really likes a larger “Hallmark” card, LOL.
Have fun stamping,
