Are you ready for Spring? We are over at The Sisterhood of Crafters challenge blog! Starting today, we are asking for Spring themed cards. My sistah Darlene chose this theme. And, we all think it’s a great one! I found a Hello Spring poem that fits the theme perfectly! With all of the pretty spring-blooming trees and shrubs coming to life, walking is so enjoyable. Plus, it’s wonderful to get out!
My hydrangea blossom heart is a digital image from Power Poppy. I routinely take the Livestream online classes at Vanilla Arts which has featured many Marcella Hawley/Power Poppy floral sketches. Amy Shulke, the originator of Vanilla Arts, always has a lovely artistic version to teach each month. Using Copic and colored pencil has never been as much fun as it is now!
As you may know, I rarely blog projects that are not Stampin’ Up! related. This easel card features cardstock, designer paper, a die-cut tool, and accessories from SU, but that is all. Power Poppy’s image is from “Follow Your Heart.” Amy’s Livestream class is called “Annabelle’s Heart.” I switched out the pink colors demonstrated in Amy’s class for my traditional pretty blue version. Then, once colored, I fussy cut and adhered it to a very light watercolor wash panel. The hummingbird was die cut from Ranger’s silver sparkle alcohol ink cardstock. I used a Copic marker to give it a green shine! The poem I found online; it was formatted and printed on cardstock using my inkjet printer.
So, what speaks of Spring to you? I am certain that you have something similar in your crafting stash! It is a perfect time to pull it out and play along with us at The Sisterhood of Crafters challenge blog. So, come on by to see what my Sistahs have crafted to inspire you.
Have fun stamping,
