Indescribable Gift for The Paper Players

One of my most favorite stamp sets in the Occasions catalog is Indescribable Gift.  This Easter themed set contains a flowering branch that brings to mind flowering crabapple trees from my youth!  There was a particular tree on an empty lot that my sisters and I would cut through in order to get to a convenience shop on the main road. When in full bloom mid-Spring, it was a vision to behold.  Anne’s color challenge for the Paper Players was perfect for this stamp set.

Indescribable Gift, Something LacyThese colors play together so nicely!  Can you imagine the pink clouds of flower blossoms against a beautiful blue sky?  I used the Nude and Blush blendies (Skin Tone Assortment) for the open blossoms and light Calypso Coral for the tighter buds.  Wild Wasabi blendabilities, introduced in the Occasions catalog, was perfect for the leaves, and I decided a Smoky Slate branch paired best with these colors!

Another stamp set from the Occasions catalog was inked up with Sahara Sand for a tone on tone look. This stamp set is Something Lacy.  I feel certain you will be seeing a lot of this background stamp in the future.  It is so very lovely.  The button used to stabilize the ribbon and twine came from Sweet Dreams Designer Button (did you notice the button color selection is perfect with this challenge?)  The Sahara Sand 7/8″ Lace Trim rounds out the color theme.  Additional pictures…

I like all the sentiments with Indescribable Gift but particularly this one!  The large flower image was inked with VersaMark to provide the watermark effect.  There is still time to play along with the Paper Players.  I hope to see you in the gallery too!

Have fun stamping,

Gorgeous, Katy! I love this stamp set and haven’t gotten it yet. Should I or shouldn’t I – decisions, decisions! Your card is pretty enough to frame! The accessories are absolutely perfect and that bow is my favorite part. The Sahara Sand ribbon had better stick around for a long time!!
