Path of Petals for Paper Players Sketch Challenge #447

Path of Petals sympathy card front view

Path of Petals is a new stamp set/dies bundle by Stampin’ Up! in this year’s annual catalog.  It is mostly a sentiment based stamp set with a loose script style that appeals to me.  I have a picture of the stamp set at the end of this post.  The floral image is obtained in 3 steps, made much easier with a stamp alignment tool such as the Stamparatus.  Just a bit more practice is needed before I am ready to share that finished image, LOL!

PP447 Sketch imageI love using sketches, and Jaydee’s sketch for the Paper Player’s #447 challenge was perfect for my Path of Petals sympathy card.  The sketch is altered a little, but (hopefully) it is still recognizable.

Additional Pictures

What I love most about this card is how well Night of Navy and So Saffron colors look against the woven grain of the designer series paper.  As I gaze around my craft room, my attention centers on this card more times than naught.  I am already planning on another similar color combination!

Please let me know if you have any questions.  In the meanwhile,

Have fun stamping,

Absolutely gorgeous, Katy! I love the “pop” of Navy! This is some of my favorite designer paper, and you showcased it so well. The inside is awesome! Thank you for playing with The Paper Players this week!

Oh, Katy! This card is beautiful!! First, I love this DSP – such a pretty color combo! I also love the dies you used (must add these to my next order)! Sympathy cards are so daunting to me but love adding butterflies, a symbol of transition from one existence to another. I need to make some for my stash, so thank you for a great CASE, Sis!
