Peaceful Place for the Pals 10th Anniversary Blog Hop!

Mar Badge for Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pals’ Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. This month we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Pals Blog Hop with “Critter Cards” from the Stampin’ Pretty Pals.  Many of the design team members are offering “Mystery Blog Candy” of their choice to 1 lucky winner. To play along, just leave a comment on as many blog posts as desired.  A random winner will be chosen by each participating design team member and announced on a subsequent blog post.  You’ll find the full line-up below to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.  As for my “critter card,” I decided on “Peaceful Place.”

Mystery Blog Candy Badge

I’m offering mystery blog candy (ie: Stampin’ Up! goodies) to one lucky winner. FOR YOUR CHANCE TO WIN, please share a comment below about your favorite “critter”.  Please play only once. The winner will be randomly chosen from the comments on this blog post after the deadline.

The deadline for comments is Friday, March 13th, at NOON Eastern Daylight Saving Time. I’ll choose a random comment and announce the winner later that day on my Blog.

Please Note: I can only ship within the United States. I will email the winner on Friday.  The winner has 24 hours from the announcement to mail me their full name and mailing address. Stay tuned!

Peaceful Place fun fold card standing view

One of my favorite critters is the faithful forager, the squirrel.  I see them so often in my yard that I should really give them names.  My husband’s favorite story is how I condoned their activities until I found them digging up my pansies in order to bury their treasure!

Peaceful Place” has one of the best realistic images of a squirrel.  Additionally, I love the scene!  In my mind’s eye, I could spend many an hour there watching squirrels and other “critters”.   However, this stamp set by Stampin’ Up! has not only intrigued me.  It, also, has confounded me with how to color it well.   One of these days I may tackle coloring the scene.  For now, you get my grayscale version of it!

Lots of beautiful layer work here…honestly I don’t have a ‘favorite’ critter; I love all animals in general, and have some very fond memories of my grandmother taking me outside to feed the squirrels in her cabin up in the mountains. Thanks for this lovely reminder!

  2. Ariel

I like that you used retired product – all of us have something we haven’t used up yet. Grey and pink is such a classic combination of colors and so soft. Beautifully done.

  3. Beth B

Beautiful card! My favorite critters would be dogs. We haven’t got one right now because of travelling for grandkids – I miss having one but love my grandkid time too much to change!

  4. Bette S

Very interesting card – love it! Myself, I’m not a big fan of squirrels – they cause a lot of damage, but truthfully, they are fun to watch. I really like the combination of the two stamp sets. Well done!! And the fold too.

This card is beyond fantastic. It is stunning and anyone receiving it would happy and amazed. I love the use of the squirrel, a favorite critter.

  5. Jane C.

Such a beautiful card! I love the gray scale and would never have thought to do it that way. My favorite critters are hedgehogs.

  6. Jeanie H Stark

Lovey card Katy! It’s hard to pick a favorite critter as so many are just adorable! I love bunnies (in spite of the fact that they eat everything in my garden) and even had a pet bunny in my classroom. As a kid I was always hunting in the grass for ladybugs as I was told they bring you good luck. 🙂

Love the monochromatic look of your card and that pop of Petal Pink! The squirrel is great but my personal favorite critter is the honey bee! I love the Honey Bee suite of products!

Love this card I haven’t seen a card made with this set yours is beautiful. My favorite critter is a raccoon. I had one when we were walking in the woods and saw one in a trap we rescued him and got a license to keep him his foot had to be taken off so he could not be returned to the wild. He was a good boy. Thanks

Very interesting card! Love the color combination. Yes, we have a couple resident squirrels that keep us pretty well entertained…….they always very busy hunting & playing!!

  10. Debbie Mageed

Oh, wow, Katy! This card is elegant, which is not an easy accomplishment with a critter theme. Love your color choice and am more than a little surprised that my artist sister is confounded about how to color it. ANY coloring you do is beautiful!! This squirrel is my favorite and looks just like the baby one that eats out of my little front porch dish for Bella to watch. Great job!

  11. Dana M

Absolutely stunning card! Beautiful design, love the tri-fold format. Perfectly executed. My favorite critter is my kitty Asha. She is a very curious little girl and love to go up high (on top of doors, the kitchen cabinets or anywhere else where she can see all the action)

  12. Sharon H

Breathtakingly beautiful! Absolutely love the gray tones, and I’m not a “gray color person”. This is the first time I’ve been tempted to get the Peaceful Place stamp set. Thank you for featuring it!

When I first saw this bundle, I dismiss it! I don’t like punches. Well, I was an idiot! I’ve since gone back and checked our catalogs again, and FELL IN LOVE! This stamp set alone is beautiful! You gave us something different. I ;love this card.I maybe bugging you for directions, if you haven’t already provided them. I LOVE THIS CARD!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats on time spent with Pal’s.
