Petite Petals for Freshly Made Sketches and the Card Concept Challenges

I am dreaming of Petite Petals these days, especially since our winter weather has been off the grid, so to speak!  My card was designed for two different challenges…

I really like the sketch provided by Freshly Made Sketches.  It is versatile and balanced.  A great sketch base for multiple stamps and/or designer papers.

The Card Concept designers ask that we specify which style our floral card is emulating.  I am guessing that my style is more “clean and layered”.

My card…

Petite Petals, Off the Grid, Katy McGloin

Cherry Cobbler Petite Petals flowers are bright and happy.  Use the corresponding punch, a bone folder to curl edges upward and pop them up with stampin’ dimensionals.  Using the “Off the Grid” stamp set at an angle, I stamped the image with Baked Brown Sugar ink.  The color coach suggested Garden Green with this combo but the Bermuda Bay cardstock caught my fancy.  I have not used much of the Core’dinations card stock in the past.  This little embossed piece has changed that!  It was fun dry embossing with the Fancy Fan TIEF and utilizing the Stampin’ Sanding System and Dust Buddy to enhance the texture.  A listing of the supplies and tools used with this card is available at the end of this post.  Click on any supply item and my 24/7 online store is available for ease in your shopping!

Have fun stamping!

    Katy…this is just lovely! My favorite flower set and punch. The details are exquisite. I love the way you used the Off the Grid background. Your cards are always so super!

    How lovely, Katy! Reminds me of a spring flower garden that I’m dreaming of sitting within. And the colors would go nicely in my newly decorated home. I live the Bermuda card stock as the gorgeous backdrop. Very nice!

    Katy, this is so beautiful! I haven’t used my Coredinations paper either and I think you showcased it perfectly! Wonderful card! I would have to suggest the Layered & Elegant category for your cards because you do that style every time you stamp. I always look forward to seeing how you change your cards but still end up with a masterpiece. {stamper envy!}
