Just Fun Stamping

RRCB #30 has Valentine Defined

rrcb30It is so nice to be back after our holiday break.  Our newest challenge is a sketch which has so many possibilities.  Since I am in Valentine class mode, I chose to use a Stampin’ Up! Valentine stamp set which debuted in the 2011 Occasions catalog.  It is called Valentine Defined.  As you can see from the stamp set image collection shown below, there are many timeless images useful for my “forever” stash.  I also used some bits from two additional vintage stamp sets called Follow My Heart and Best of Love.

Valentine Defined, RRCB 30My RRCB design team submission is very straightforward with the sketch.  I may have used my beloved vintage stamps, but I have also used brand new paper products just released in SU’s 2016 Occasions catalog.  These products (Love Blossoms designer series paper and Blushing Bride glimmer paper) can be found on page 17 of the catalog.  The color scheme includes Crumb Cake, Rose Red and Blushing Bride.

Won’t you please come by the Retro Rubber Challenge Blog, take a look at my teammate’s projects that were designed to inspire you to play along with us and then link yours to our gallery?  We would love to see you there!  This challenge will end on January 29th.  Don’t forget, your stamp images must be at least one year old.  And be sure to tell us how long you have had the stamp in your stash… that is part of the fun!  We also ask that you limit your project to 10 or less additional challenges.

Have fun stamping,

Katy

Beautiful card Katy, I have this sweet stamp set from SU too, love those kissing flamingoes!!
I love how you finished the inside too, I promised myself I was going to do that to all the cards I post on my blog, that will save a lot of time when I send them out.

Hey Katy, what a pretty card, I love the soft colours with the odd bright pop. Flamingoes are my fave thing in the world (image wise) after Pineapples, so I approve 🙂 Love the mixing of the stamp sets, I have been doing that more, thanks to you the master of it. Cx
