Serene Scenery for Best Birds

Best Birds, Serene Scenery Paper Stack, Stampin' Up!

Serene Scenery

#141642
$10

Pairing Serene Scenery with Best Birds provides the best of two worlds.  Serene Scenery designer series paper stack contains 4 sheets each of 12 double sided designs.  Each of the 6 x 6″ designs provide an awesome background to stamping right on top of it. There have been wonderful projects shared on Pinterest since the Stampin’ Up! annual catalog went live on June 1st.

Best Birds Bundle

#142315
$43

I have been wanting a detailed bird stamp image and Stampin’ Up! delivered this year.  Not only is there a great stamp set, but there are thinlits to coordinate with the set.  And the best part…. buy it as a bundle and save 10% over purchasing both items separately!! Since I recently invested in Copic sketch markers, I couldn’t wait to try my hand at coloring the birds.  This bird was colored with R00, R05, R12, YR00, YG61 and shaded with N2. Unfortunately I stamped, die cut and colored the tree branch about 3 weeks ago and failed to note which Copic colors I used.

Layering Ovals Framelits

#141706
$35, 15 dies

Furthermore, there are several occasion sentiments with the stamp set that makes it very versatile for cardmaking.  I used the Layering Oval Framelits for my sentiment and popped it up with stampin’ dimensionals.  I love the additional scalloped ovals included with the new framelit set.  You can have a peek of color or a larger block of color to accentuate an image… your choice!

I will be playing with this set more over the next couple of months. It’s just too cute not to!

Any time I see a bird stamp set, I know it will be first on your list! I might be the butterfly stamper but you are certainly going to get anything bird-related. You made this card so realistic by using that fantastic new DSP that it could pass as a photo! You didn’t list your card ingredients but I am assuming that both of the backgrounds are from that DSP stack. Mine is arriving this week (don’t ask me what took me so long!) and I can’t wait to CASE this card!
