Who doesn’t love fresh flowers during May? RRCB 14 has the perfect floral theme for the next two weeks! Just design your card around an older floral stamp image and upload to our gallery! We would love for you to play along…
My card is based on the sweet room divider cards that I have seen often on so many other blogs. This is one of those instances where I chose the stamp set first and considered the card layout afterwards. The stamp set is Simple Florals. It has a stamped date on the individual stamps of 2003 and retired in 2006 as per Splitcoaststampers. It is yet another example of how I purchase stamp sets because I love them, will use them and will keep them forever!
The images were stamped with VersaMark onto Shimmery White cardstock and heat embossed with vintage pewter emboss powder. I used my blender pen to add inks to the flowers. The colors include Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango and Rose Red. The leaves were inked mostly with Wild Wasabi and a little Garden Green. Sahara Sand and Pool Party added color to the containers. The table top setting is created by a Gorgeous Grunge stamp image and Soft Suede ink. The sentiments came from Bring On the Cake.
The card base is 11 x 5-1/2″ with scores at 2-3/4″, 5-1/2″, and 8-1/4.” I used the rotary blade Small Scallop on my trimmer for the top cut. The legs of the card were created using the Decorative Label punch. Additional paper piercing on top and bottom, Sahara Sand Lace Trim (this has carried into the new catalog… yay!) behind the additional Pool Party and Sahara Sand paper layers complete this card.
I hope you enjoyed my project. If so, please consider leaving me a comment. Should you have any questions regarding this card fold, please do not hesitate to let me know.
